  1. At First, press Windows key and type cmd. Right- Click on the cmd option that appears and select run as admin. Next, Click Yes if asked for permission.

  3. From the list of networking protocols that appear to find DNI_DNE.
  4. If DNI_DNE has listed then, type reg delete HKCR\CLSID\{988248f3-a1ad-49bf-9170-676cbbc36ba3} /VA /fnetcfg -v -u dni_dne And if you didn’t find DNI_DNE then only run in the command netcfg –v –u dni_dne.

  5. Now if you receive the error 0x80004002 after typing, then you have to delete the key manually.
  6. Press Windows key + R together, type regedit and hit enter.
  7. Go to the following Registry key: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{988248f3-a1ad-49bf-9170-676cbbc36ba3}
  8. Delete this key and then type netcfg –v –u dni_dne. Restart the computer to make the changes.
